Walkmill House

Walkmill House is a detached luxury self-catering cottage with its own private gardens and patio set in beautiful rural Shropshire. It is a traditional stone-built cottage with red roses around the door. Coming through the front door you enter a spacious entrance hall where you can sit on the sofa, put your boots on and examine a map of local walks and cycle rides. Off the hall is a large utility room with plenty of room for drying and a convenient downstairs toilet. Also off the hall is a comfortable sitting room with the original inglenook fireplace where you can sit down relax and enjoy the warmth of an open log fire.

Leaving the sitting room you enter the dining room where up to eight people can enjoy an intimate dinner comfortably.

A door opens from the dining room to a secluded rear patio and garden. Leaving the dining room you enter a well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen has a large table where up to six people can enjoy a casual meal together. The kitchen enjoys wonderful views of the river.

Upstairs in Walkmill House there are two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms. The master bedroom, to the left as you come up the stairs, has a double bed and a very large bathroom with dressing area with original roll top bath, toilet, sink and bidet. The dressing area of the bathroom has a sofa which can be converted to a bed.  The second bedroom, to the right as you come up the stairs, is light and airy with two single beds. The second bathroom is accessed via the hall and has a shower, sink and toilet. Both this bedroom and bathroom have wonderful views of the river.

Walkmill House sleeps 4 (one double and two twin beds) in addition there are sofa beds available in the lounge and dressing area of the Master Bedroom en-suite for additional flexibility. Luxury Egyptian cotton linen, Christy towels & toiletries are provided.

Each cottage has its own private garden however guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds, collect apples from the orchard, pick blackberries, enjoy a riverside picnic or simply to marvel at the beauty of the Shropshire hills.
