Thank you for your warm welcome, cake (scrummy!) and VERY fresh eggs! We’ve had a super time in your charming cottage, so beautifully fitted out, comfortable beds, clean, cosy, well equipped etc etc. This is going to take some beating. Stunning scenery on our walks, The Bog, Long Mynd, Stiperstones … Great pubs, especially the Three Tuns at Bishops Castle, excellent beers! (Running out of superlatives). To top it all, perfect Spring weather. We’ll be back.

We were delighted with the Lodge, and your thoughtful welcoming gifts made us feel at home straight away. We have stayed in many English Country Cottages and this has to be the best so far! Shropshire has lived up to our expectations. Many thanks for providing such a comfortable base to ‘come home’ to each evening.

Dear Gilly - Thank you for such a welcoming and comfortable stay! You really made it like ‘home’ amongst friends for a week. The setting is beautiful, the cottage lovely inside and out, and the surrounding countryside is stunning. The eggs indeed were delicious and the cake! Will certainly come again if down this way.

We have had a great stay! Everything has been just how we like it. A perfect, peaceful holiday. The pub ‘The Inn on The Green’ is highly recommended - the lamb chops are superb and the owners very welcoming.

We’ve had a lovely restful holiday here with a nice mix of eating in and eating out. We enjoyed the Sunday Carvery at the ‘Inn On The Green’ and the homemade pies at the ‘The Crown’. Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the towns especially Ludlow, Church Stretton and Bishops Castle. The Shropshire Hills Centre at Craven Arms is a nice place for a short walk or lunch break. Lovely views from the Castle Gardens at the Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle. Walkmill Lodge is very comfortable - a charming place to stay.

Had a really lovely week and weather was pretty good considering the initial forecast. Fantastic cottage with everything you need - friendly hosts. Thanks for the delicious scones. Great walks although some lack signposting which adds to the adventure! Rory and Robbie enjoyed meeting new friends too. We recommend the Crown at Wentnor for foodl Had a great time and would love to come again.

Thanks for your warm welcome - the scones and eggs were delicious. The cottage is lovely and you’ve made our 2 weeks really enjoyable. This is definately the nicest place we’ve been so far and would love to return. We had great fun looking after Lucky and Lily - despite the rain! Thanks for inviting us to your barbecue, it was lovely. Everything has been perfect and we’ll definitely be back.
